How to may to Baja California Sur

In addition to easily arriving at anydestination, traveling along the Baja California Sur highways will take visitors through a world of exquisite nature. Winding mountains, majestic volcanoes, hot deserts and the comfort of a safe and patrolled road, will make any trip apleasurable and memorable experience.

 

4Getting There by Highway
Visitors can reach this state by “Benito Juárez” Trans-peninsular Highway 1, which goes from Tijuana to Los Cabos. This highway offers the services of the Federal Highway Patrol, the Green Angels and the services offered by the nearest cities including the Red Cross, fire stations, police stations, etc.  It is recommended that visitors do not drive at night (due to wildlife) and respect the signs as well as rules for safe traveling.

 

By Air
The state’s national and international airports connect with the principal cities of the country, the United States and Canada. The International Airport of Los Cabos (SJD), located 15 km (9 miles) to the north of Los Cabos, receives daily international flights via America West, Alaska Airlines, Continental, Delta and Mexicana airlines. In addition, flights from other North American cities arrive in Los Cabos. 

The International Airport of La Paz (LAP), located 10 km (6 miles) to the north of the city, receives daily flights from Los Angeles, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, among other cities via airlines such as Aerocalifornia, Aeromexico and Aerolitoral.

The International Airport of Loreto (LTO) receives flights from the United States connecting through Los Angeles, Tucson and San Diego; Aerolitoral (AM) provides national flight service.

By Sea
Visitors can arrive by sea via the ferries that travel from Los Mochis and Mazatlán to La Paz, and from Santa Rosalía to Guaymas offering a variety of services.
